Scentsy Earns DSA Success Award for Bring Back My Bar

Orville, Heidi, CMO Mark Stastny, CFO Chuck Thompson, and Chief Council Phil Broadbent just returned from the Direct Selling Association (DSA) annual meeting in Miami this week. Not only was it a great time spent with colleagues from our fellow direct selling companies, but we were honored to come home with the DSA 2011 Success Award–our third DSA award in as many years.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, the DSA Awards–which are presented at the annual meeting every year–represent the crème de la crème of direct selling companies. We have been honored with a DSA award every year since we started submitting entries: in 2009, we received the first-ever Rising Star Award; in 2010, we received a Success Award for our social media efforts.
This year’s Success Award was given for our Bring Back My Bar promotion, an effort we know is dear to your hearts. We are especially proud of Bring Back My Bar because it is an amazing collaboration between Consultants, the Scentsy home office, and our customers.
In the Bring Back My Bar promotion, everyone benefits: customers get to declare their love for their favorite products, Consultants experience increased sales during what could otherwise be a slow season, and the home office gets to flex its creative muscles in promoting and delivering the products.
We wouldn’t have Bring Back My Bar if we didn’t have open lines of communication between the home office and Consultants. The idea for this program was born with you and your requests for discontinued fragrances.
It’s because of your passion and understanding of our products that we’re able to continue to bring this promotion to you twice a year. Bring Back My Bar is our most successful promotion–during the last cycle alone, we registered more than 2 million votes. That’s really incredible.
Scentsy was also selected as a finalist in the Sales Force Development category for Spring Sprint, another incredible effort involving the home office and our passionate Consultants.
